Ports & Harbors

Ports are spending billions of dollars to cope with both the expected doubling of container throughput between now and 2010 and the worlds fleet of ever-larger boxships. Lloyds Register Fairplay has firmly established the new-look Ports & Harbors (P&H) as the best way to reach over 5,000 people in senior management in ports around the world. Working together with the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), we make sure the magazine tackles the issues the industry wants to know about.

IAPH members are highly motivated to read the magazine we know, because they tell us so. Theyve welcomed the new format and regard P&H as essential to help them keep up-to-date, not just with IAPH and sister organisation events, but with global port trends.

They welcome the articles that discuss issues they face every business day in their respective countries, along with the latest news, analysis and opinions from major personalities in the industry.

P&H gives a broad insight into the stories behind important developments not just such obvious subjects as port projects and equipment handling, but also the myriad other issues that affect ports: technology, logistics, security, the environment and trade development among them. And we'll continue to cover these vital industry issues in 2007.

The partnership between the IAPH secretariat and Lloyds Register Fairplay has put the magazine in an unrivalled position within the port industry and P&H is poised for further growth. Im proud to be helping in the magazines continuing development as the industry enters such an important and exciting time.
